Matka silk is a hand-loomed, hand-spun fabric made from waste mulberry silk fibers. It has a coarse, rustic, and earthy feel due to the hand-spinning process and the use of shorter, broken fibers. The texture creates an irregular weave that gives the fabric a distinctive, unique look, resembling tweed.
Black heavy matka silk dyed fabric is suitable for making jackets, nehru jackets, blazers, suits, home furnishings and more.
