Silk discharge printing is a technique that involves dyeing silk fabric a dark color and then using a special chemical paste, or discharge agent, to chemically remove the dye in specific areas to create a white or light-colored pattern. This process results in a contrasting design, and if the discharged areas are then re-colored, it is known as colored discharge printing.
